Skate sneaker favourite the Stefan Janoski pops up once again, this time around in an angelic white and light base grey rendition. Only the second rider to have his own signature shoe, Cali/Nike SB skater Stefan Janoski is on the verge of releasing his first foray into footwear with the Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski SB. These were meant to be thrashed, as the inner and tongue tag ‘For Daily Use’ stamp suggests, so no need to worry about scuffing up the suede on these bad boys.
Drawing inspiration from the City of Palaces, the is just a couple of days away from dropping in with its tribute “Mexico City” makeup. Curated wit a subtle shade of wolf grey shredding its canvas upper, university red and black tag team the accents, Swooshes, laces and tongue branding. Complete with a white midsole balancing out its concrete-like appearance, the model’s insoles show love to the sewer caps that line the bustling streets of the city.
The has released in a handful of leather colorways over the years, these drops deviating from the suede or canvas that typically dominates this model. It looks like we might have a bunch more coming up soon, because Nike SB is also beginning to designate these releases with an ‘L’ suffix on the labels. This particular Janoski L uses a rich tumbled red upper as accented by another unprecedented element in the gradient Swoosh that fades from white into the blue that marks this pair’s ankle collar.
Spring 2013 gave us a nice variety of signatures from Nike Skateboarding as well as promise of more good things to come. One thing missing from the SP13 preview we showed you last November is this newest release, the Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid in Wolf Grey canvas. These add red details and white Swoosh/sole to arrive at a crisp and clean result that has a subtle way of drawing more attention than your average grey canvas shoe.
