It will be a palatial stadium in a premier, easy-to-reach location making it ideal for major events of all kinds.Today, the PAC-12 conference announced that they will be relocating the PAC-12 Championship Game to the new Raiders stadium for the 2020 and 2021 seasons and possibly beyond that. It makes a ton of sense, as Vegas is a central location for every team in the conference and the PAC-12 conference basketball tournament is already held in Las Vegas.For the PAC-12’s first three years, the championship game was played at the home stadiums of one of the teams involved, and was played at Oregon in Eugene, at Stanford and at Arizona State in Tempe. For the last six years, it’s been played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, where the grass is farmed and cultivated in the very Pit of Hell. At least the game is played at night so spectators don’t have to deal with the sun like the unfortunate Niners fans who show up there for games every week. The game being played in Las Vegas should be a far more pleasant experience for everyone involved.
