r the second half of the 2018 season , the team has several starters on the injury report this week as they begin preparations for their week 14 game against the Atlanta Falcons. Four starters and another key player or two sat out entirely as the team practiced on Wednesday. Two of those starters are the offensive linemen who were injured in last week’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. Right tackle Bryan Bulaga and right guard Byron Bell both left in the first half of the game with injuries, and both were held out of practice on Wednesday. They were joined by cornerback Kevin King and tight end Jimmy Graham, both starters, as well as safety Raven Greene and reserve running back Tra Carson.Graham is likely to play on Sunday at Lambeau Field, since he has skipped most Wednesday practices this season with various issues but has not missed a game. The linemen are a bigger concern, however, particularly Bulaga due to the expected dropoff from him to Jason Spriggs at the tackle spot. Despite a struggling defense overall, Atlanta does have a pair of young defensive ends with good pass-rushing ability, which will likely test Spriggs on Sunday should he start the game. The ongoing absence for Kevin King remains frustrating , however. He practiced on a limited basis on Thursday last week, but was unable to play on Sunday and is now missing time once again. Thankfully, cornerback Bashaud Breeland and safety Kentrell Brice both were participating, which would be a relief for a Packers squad that continues to deal with more and more injuries in the defensive backfield. One other notable injury took place during practice on Wednesday. That was to rookie long snapper Hunter Bradley, who was spotted by media members on the turf in significant pain late in the session. He reportedly said after practice that the injury was not serious, as was the indication from his “full participation” status. Still, stay tuned this week to find out whether the Packers may need to make a move to find someone to fill in for him over the final four games.Packers Wednesday Practice ReportDid Not ParticipateG Byron Bell (knee)T Bryan Bulaga (knee/illness)RB Tra Carson (rib)TE Jimmy Graham (thumb/knee)S Raven Greene (ankle)CB Kevin King (hamstring)Limited ParticipationCB Bashaud Breeland (groin)S Kentrell Brice (ankle/concussion)WR Randall Cobb (hamstring)OLB Clay Matthews (ankle)G Lane Taylor (foot)Full ParticipationLT David Bakhtiari (knee)LS Hunter Bradley (ankle)QB Aaron Rodgers (knee)WR Equanimeous St. Brown (elbow) For a few early drives on Sunday night in Minneapolis, it seemed that Mike McCarthy had taken recent criticism to heart and that Aaron Rodgers had found his mojo again. The Green Bay Packers’ offense looked crisp, creative , and maybe even clever. Rodgers was throwing the ball in rhythm and the team had 14 points through three series. And then it all fell apart. Again. For the second straight game, the Packers scored just three points after halftime. For the second straight game, a fourth-down decision by McCarthy burned the team. And for the seventh time this season, Rodgers completed less than 62 percent of his pass attempts. He also set a season-low mark in passing yards, managing just 198 on the day, and it was the first time all season that the Packers had been held under 340 yards of total offense, as the team finished with just 254 total.Over a span of six possessions after the Vikings tied the game at 14, the Packers managed just four first downs, going three-and-out three times. All that led to a nearly ten-minute time of possession deficit.By most measures , this was the worst offensive performance of the year for this team in the Packers’ worst season (so far, at least) since Rodgers’ first year as a starter. And although the team still has a theoretical chance to make the postseason, there are few if any reasons for hope. Thus, today’s Curds are a somber batch, and we get our first look at draft order for 2019, which finds the Packers just outside the top ten at present.Aaron Rodgers of Green Bay Packers plots path to playoffs after loss | ESPNIt basically boils down to "win out and hope that you get help." That's the only hope that the Packers have left.Mike McCarthy’s denouement: 4 takeaways from Packers’ loss to Vikings | Packers WireThird downs (two for ten), Rodgers' missed throws in key situations, and a defense that simply doesn't have enough bodies to hold up over a full game are among the keys from Sunday night.Knee injuries could sideline Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari | Packersnews.comAnd as if a five-game winning streak wasn't looking difficult enough, there's a chance that Bakhtiari could miss time after suffering two separate and different injuries during last night's game.
