Commando Arnold Schwarzenegger's Seiko H601 Some of us are seeking solace in youth action movies. If you are participating in the Schwarzenegger Film Marathon, you may find that the same watch pops up again and again. It seems that Arnie has played Seikos series in a series of movies, such as The Predator, The Running Man and Commando.
There is controversy as to the exact model he is wearing. Is there a digital display on top of H558? Or H601? Or is Arnie upside down? But when the commando came out, Seiko released a limited edition of this rugged watch. It has digital / analog dials and other sturdy features such as water resistance to 10 ATMs; 3-foot impact resistance; hard-wearing Hardlex coating withstands decompression; resistance to chemical and gas exposure, such as alcohol, Cosmetic oil, ammonia and carbon monoxide; bright and luminous, can be read from 25cm in total darkness.
Since Schwarzenegger is a watchman, it's safe to say that he might store the in the movie in his own vault. In 2019, Seiko launched a similar-looking Seiko SNJ025 Solar Arnie.
Sigourney Weaver's Seiko Giugiaro 7a28-7000 comes from an alien
This futuristic timepiece is famous for three reasons: It was conceived by car designer Giorgetto Giugiaro, considered the first watch to have an analog quartz chronograph movement, and due to the director James Cameron chose this Seiko watch to match Sigourney Weaver's character, Ripley, a sci-fi classic alien in 1986.
If you need to watch a movie to remind you why the quarantine is important, it's the aliens. In this sequel, we learned that although we have strange days in the future, it is not the end time. When we finish this work, I will continue to pursue one of these fancy timepieces. The last recording of a real timepiece appeared at the 2015 Seiko Mini Show in London, so we think it's safe in the Seiko archives.
For reference only, Seiko also re-released "The Ripley" under its Spirit Smart series in 2016. In the 1990s, they produced a similar-looking version called K2000 under its sub-brand Alba.
Ryan Gosling's Patek Phillipe on Drive
Watching Huang Feihong driving in Hollywood took me to relive the 2013 thriller driver, stuntman and driver who starred in Ryan Gosling fled. Of all the movies I have seen so far, none have been shown at Patek Philippe at Gosling. It even has its own backstory (the father of his character).
Like Schwarzenegger and Pitt, Gosling is also a watchman. In order to show his personality, he requires Patek Philippe with a brown leather strap.
When the movie was released, in an interview with GQ, Will Blount, the head of Drive, revealed that the clock used during the filming was fake. "You can't use a real watch or you will destroy it," Blunt said. "So we used five to six copies." As for where it is now, Blunt said Gosling asked if he could keep a Blunt answer Is: "Brother, you definitely deserve it."
So although the watch doesn't exist in real life, the classic Patek Philippe Calatrava can still get you on the right track.
I wish you a happy stream and keep it safe!
