www.chaussureplace.comAdidas Consortium is collaborating with Aberdeen-based retailer Hanon to create a shoe inspired by the ever-changing Scottish weather. The puts several unique spins on the adidas New York silhouette that embody the dark clouds that sweep over eastern Scotland during a rainstorm. The upper is made up of a gradient grey and black jacquard woven material surrounded by grey and black suede accents. The gradient color scheme continues onto the Dellinger webbing over the white midsole. The shoe does not come without its distinctive markings, as Hanon and adidas co-branding can be found throughout, including on the inner-tongue that bears the coordinates of Hanon’s hometown of Aberdeen.
After presenting a special pop-up installation at Kith Manhattan last month, adidas Originals and based artist Daniel Arsham now unveil a collaborative sneaker. Arsham fittingly chose the adidas New York to work with, crating a creative and contemporary feel for the archival running shoe. Partly inspired by Arsham’s fascination with the concept of archeology and 20th-century cultural artifacts, the New York is presented in a “deteriorated” canvas upper with frayed edges in a completely tonal white colorway. Subtle and even hidden details are then added, with dual branding on the top of the tongues with screenprinted ‘Daniel Arsham’ and ‘Past’ details on the underside, and the model’s classic dellinger mesh midsole treated with an ultraviolet ink print that reads “THE PAST IS PRESENT” when hit with UV light.
As a part of the Barney’s , adidas Originals is back with another collaborative effort atop the adidas Stan Smith. The upscale fashion house has dipped their toes in the sneaker world as of late. You might remember the hit or miss nature of the Onitsuka Tiger “Buffalo Plaid” release or even the surprising glow in the dark New Balance 1700. Both of those collaborations seemed surprisingly busy for Barney’s. This Stan Smith doesn’t try to do too much, as a premium black leather defers the three stripe branding for a crisp metallic gold Barney’s insignia on the tongue.
adidas continues to bring back some of its most iconic models. The is precisely one of those and it is going to get this striking Core Black version. The release is set for January 2018. Featuring a mesh upper, nubuck overlays, Gum outsole with translucent detailing upfront and that unique retro vintage look.
New York-based artist Daniel Arsham have teamed up with adidas Originals to release a unique take of the silhouette. These shoes merge the world of creative art with sneaker culture. Made with a leather-lined neoprene upper, the shoes pop with metallic details. Boost cushioning offers a feeling of lightweight responsiveness with every step. Completing the collab, co-branding is present on the tongues.
