The legend of Robin Hood is one of the most time-tested fables in the history of literature. The heroic outlaw has been reimagined countless different ways, from his portrayal as a swiping and clever fox in the cartoons, to today’s live-action movie version set to hit theaters on November 21st. Bearing close resemblance to its White and Navy palette, the newest 1500 takes on overlays of the stark white tone with its tongue and various accents adding separation with the much darker pigment.

As the first-ever New Balance sneaker to hit the hundred-pound price mark in the UK when it originally released in 1993, the holds a special place in sneaker culture — especially in London. Its unique shape is stately, sleek, and sporty at the same time, and its premium materials ensure that it’ll maintain a refined look wear after wear. Now, the 1500 has surfaced in a new ladies-only, made-in-England iteration: a “Poison Ivy” colorway as part of NB’s fall “Poisonous Plants” pack.

Throughout the many different interpretations of this character, the most consistently used detail is a green cape, which aptly comes represented by forrest green overlays on this . Other details include brown laces, for Robin Hoods leather straps and bow, and the aforementioned burnt orange or red hue portrays the feather in his cap and the base of his arrows.
