Strategies for splitting and doubling.
In addition to mathematically based strategies for playing blackjack, there are other strategies-based, in fact, on pure logic and expectation. These strategies include doubling the bet and splitting the hand (split) – two variants of the game development that are typical for blackjack.
The split strategy determines when it is profitable for the player to divide his hand into two, and when it is better to refrain from splitting. Recall that split is an opportunity to split a hand when two identical cards (for example, two tens) come to the player from the first hand. By splitting, the player gets the opportunity to collect two hands instead of one and, accordingly, win twice as much with a successful combination of circumstances.
Splitovat in some cases is profitable, but in others-in any case, it is impossible. The General rules of the separation strategy are as follows:
The strategy of effective blackjack game recommends always dividing the hand if two aces came to the player from the first hand – the chances of collecting a winning combination (and even blackjack) in the case of a split increase significantly.
Always split if you have two eights on your hands – they give you sixteen points in total, and this is an extremely risky account, there is a great chance to go over or, on the contrary, not enough. In any case, the probability of losing with two eights on your hands is very high, so when faced with this situation, feel free to divide your hand.
Never split if two tens came to you in the first hand – this is probably the most ridiculous action that a blackjack player can perform. First, the amount of 20 points in itself gives a very good chance of winning, a chance almost guaranteed. And if you split your hand and try to collect two hands on the starting tens, you not only ruin a great deal, but also risk not collecting a winning combination on any of the two new hands.
In General, in most cases, you can split almost any pair – both lower cards and higher cards (except for any cards worth ten points, that is, tens, jacks, Queens, and kings)
The strategy of doubling involves, with a successful combination of circumstances, getting a double win. The rule of doubling in blackjack gives the player the opportunity to double their bet (and, accordingly, win), but at the same time get only one card from the dealer. The doubling strategy is optimal when combined with the card counting strategy, and only if you have cards worth ten or eleven points after the first hand. Since the doubling strategy is very risky, in no case do not neglect the card count and use doubling only when there is a large positive score, when there are more senior cards in the deck and a higher chance of getting a ten from the dealer.
