The Hyperfuse has been available in no shortage of brightly tinged colorways for 2012, staples like the OG ‘Infrared’ coming in alongside others that take advantage of the layering to drop some colorful touches in here and there. If there ever was an antithesis of that it’s this pair, a black and grey combo that will still shine given the right angle, with some 3M style reflective sections thrown in.

The combination of Hasta, an earthy yet aquatic shade of green, as paired with the Sunburst shade of red is a recurring theme in Sportswear’s FW12 catalog. We’ve seen it placed upon the classic Air Lava Dome and recently resurrected Free 5.0 Trail, which means this new Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse has a bit of an offroad feel by association. These add a Granite suede mudguard to further the organic vibe and offer us a new twist on the browns + red formulae that have worked so well for NSW in recent cold weather catalogs

The Hyperfuse has excelled in the OG Infrared style and variations on that blocking template as well as a new two-toned approach that utilizes a gradient Swoosh, and now we see another graphical rendition that simply wouldn’t be possible without the synthetic Fuse construction. These two new AM90 Hyperfuses feature a leafy camo pattern, which is quite visible in tonal greys on the white edition but barely visible and more of an additional texture on the blackout (but might that change with the reflective elements activated?).

Is this another Air Max 90 Hyperfuse colorway for the Chicago Bears? If you’re not following, the Hyperfuse was the selected model to represent the NFC North as part of the NFL x Nike Draft Pack that hit stores some time ago. This upcoming release of the AM90 Hyperfuse revisits the iconic Bears combination (albeit in an unofficial manner), as it pairs the heritage navy with a vibrant orange for that classic look. The suede stone grey mudguard provides a nice contrasting appeal to complete yet another sick colorway of the suddenly revitalized Air Max 90 Hyperfuse.

Those with an affinity for all-things-original will rejoice tomorrow as the first-born ‘Infrared’ colorway of the legendary returns in ‘Hyperfuse’ form. Rebuilt with the super-lightweight and durable three-layer material known as Hyperfuse, Nike Sportswear centered its focus on Air Max classics to breathe a new level of appeal to the already iconic group. A first release as part of a Crooked Tongues party followed by a wider release in Europe, the Hyperfuse Infrareds have garnered plenty of excitement, so we’ll see how it goes down tomorrow when select NSW retailers make ’em available.
