SIHH 2019: Athena-Freak X
Ulysse Nardin launched Freak X, the latest interpretation of Freak, one of the most iconic watches the brand founded in Le Locle in 1846.
The new model is different from all previous Freak timepieces and has two main features: it is smaller-43 mm in diameter instead of 45 mm-and has a traditional crown for time correction, thus breaking the unique characteristics of the crownless A Freak Vision or Freak Out model, time can be corrected by the bezel.
However, the "sticks" movement has not changed. It is still a merry-go-round and opens every hour to indicate time.
Without the actual dial and hands, the central bridge acts as a minute hand with one of the wheels indicating the hour. Just like the index, both are Super-LumiNova processed for best visibility even in low light conditions. With its nickel flyweight and stable micro-blades, the choir's eye catcher is the ultra-light and ultra-wide silicon balance wheel.

The new Freak X is available in titanium (ref.2303-270 / 03), black DLC (ref.2303-270.1 / BLACK), Carbonium (ref.2303-270 / CARB) or rose gold (ref.2305-270 / 02) .
