Minnesota Vikings activate Kentrell Brothers , release Bryan Witzmann With linebacker and special teams ace Kentrell Brothers having officially served his four-game suspension for violating the National Football League’s performance-enhancing drug policy, the Minnesota Vikings needed to make a roster move to get him back onto the 53-man roster. They announced that move on Friday afternoon.The team has officially activated Brothers, and to make room on the roster they have released offensive lineman Bryan Witzmann.Witzmann was not active in any of the games he spent on the Vikings’ roster after starting 13 games at guard for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017. There will probably be a pretty decent market for his services now that he has been released.I would expect that Brothers would take his spot on special teams back immediately, and the Vikings’ coverage teams should see a significant uptick in quality as a result.We will see if there are any more moves made by the Vikings prior to kickoff in Philadelphia on Sunday. If I had to venture a guess, I would assume that both of them will be out there on Sunday, but it’s something that will require monitoring over the next couple of days.The rest of the players on the Vikings’ injury report were not given designations and were all full participants in Friday’s final practice session.That’s a look at the injury reports for both sides going into Sunday’s big game.
